The Dresden Community Healthcare Foundation was formed in January 2012 after a public meeting to raise support for the concept of providing a location for a satellite location for the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team.
The goal at the time was to fund-raise to build a state of the art Healthcare Centre for residents of Dresden and the surrounding area. In November 2012 the building was complete and the CKFHT took up residence with two family Physicians and allied health staff.
Today our focus has shifted to recruiting Family physicians as well as maintaining the building through fundraising and donations. The board of directors meets monthly with an annual general meeting in February of each year. Committees meet as needed for event planning and special projects.
We are very proud of the citizens of Dresden and area that rallied to support this special project.
